introduction:
Everest Poker was the first poker room to be available in different languages. They now offer the site in up to 16 different languages including French, Japanese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, Spanish, English, Polish, Greek and Finnish. Because of this aspect Everest Poker gets a vast amount of traffic from non-English speaking players and they are very popular across Europe. Everest isn’t a massive poker site but for an average size they offer some great promotions and bonuses.
graphics and the look:
Everest’s Poker rooms have been created by Grand Virtual Software. The software has mixed reviews about the graphics because its in 3D which by some peoples standard is great and beats the other 2D poker rooms, but some feel it is too much and has a negative effect on the look, but maybe this is because they are not use to it. From my point of view it is good that it is different and stands out from the rest.
The lobby area is great and you can always find the game you are looking for. You can resize the poker rooms so you can play on several games at once, you can change the backgrounds as usual although their background choices are really quite funky and with up to 12 options.
Everest Poker is great for new comers because they can start off in the Training Room before you hit the real tables. Overall the graphics of the site are great, they have everything you need functionality wise and with some added extras.
the games and tournaments:
The range of games offered is limited to only Texas Holdem and Omaha, so if variety is what you are after then you are probably better off somewhere else, but there is nothing wrong with specializing in one area and lets face it Texas Holdem is the favourite for many.
They offer some great tournaments in these games guaranteeing up to $5000. The games and tournaments are great for beginners as well because they have low buy ins. I’d say Everest Poker is great for the lower end players and newbies, the competition is soft and low to medium stakes.
bonuses and promotions:
Everest Poker offer a great sign up bonus of $100, freerolls, a Summit Point program and European Poker Tour satellites. The Summit Point program is interesting because it offers the first 2 players who enter a table double rates throughout the game. The points as usual can then be used in real game tournaments or on merchandise. Everest follow the crowd with the general bonuses and promotions but they also step out of the box and offer some great little deals, for example at the moment they are running a promotion for the chance to turn 10 players into pros this year, a deal worth $100,000.
customer support:
The support by Everest is only by email, it is fast and reliable so you always know you are going to get an answer. Of course they give support in all the different languages they offer, all 16 of them, its just a shame you cant call or have online chat. Having said that the level of response you get is detailed and accurate and is much better than most.
